How to stop Dog diarrhea?
About 2 months ago I adopted (saved) a 1 year old Bugg (Boston terrier/pug mix). She is the sweetest thing and has been tested for every parasite and worm and is all around healthy and happy. The only negative is that since I got her she has had diarrhea almost every day. I took her to the vet again and she was treated for a parasite she doesnt have but it doesnt seem to help. I thought it was due to the stress of changing food and environments but its been 2 months and she still has very runny stool. Its not bloody and she always has water available so Im really not sure whats going on. The vet has no idea what is wrong with her and says as long as shes not acting lethargic she should be fine but im just not sure. I give her good quality food and she rarely gets any people food. I am getting her spayed next month and I know unfixed dogs are more prone to digestive problems but this is constant. Any input is helpful. Does pumpkin really work?? Thanks for all the advice. I think im going to try boiled chicken and rice. I have looked for pumpkin (not pie filling) and have not had any luck finding it around here. I monitor what she eats VERY closely and some days shes totally fine and some days its really bad so i really have no idea. The place where she came from she was malnourished and abused so im hoping shes still just getting used to things. As for dogs not being fixed having more issues, I Was told by my vet that sometimes they get more stressed out due to environmental changes. Not that its a direct cause. Perhaps i need to look into changing vets. Also..shes not vomiting.
