Signs Of A Healthy Dog
Glucosamine Tablets For Dogs
A playful and active dog is a sign of a healthy dog. Most pet owners don't realize but a slowing down dog could be the onset of osteoarthritis setting in. If you observe that your dog has become less active, lethargic, uninterested in playing then maybe he or she is suffering from osteoarthritis. It is a common health ailment among dogs, if not detected early it can be painful in later stages and can also lead to further complications.
In osteoarthritis the cartilage tissues in the joints are destroyed leading to pain and difficulty in mobility in your dog. Glucosamine is a widely used medication in these conditions which has shown positive results over a period of time. They are known to regenerate the broken cartilage tissues restoring your dogs lost vigor and activity. The glucosamine that your dog orally consumes is absorbed by the tissues which lead to repairing of the damaged ones.
It is available in tablet and liquid form, but tablets are the more popular form of glucosamine supplements for dogs. These tablets are available in packages of various sizes depending on the recommended dosage; they come in beef flavor variety so that it will be easily consumed by your dog. It can be mixed with food as whole or crushed.
Your dog cannot express the pain he or she experiences in this condition, so it is necessary that you take preventive measures to avoid osteoarthritis. Giving your dog glucosamine supplements along with regular exercise will surely keep his cartilage tissues from getting affected. The dosage of the tablets will be recommended by the veterinarian or the chart given can be followed according to your dog's medical condition. A well chosen glucosamine supplement of good quality will surely show positive results in your pet. Studies have proved that some dogs have responded to the medication within a short period of 10-15 days. So choose the best Glucosamine Tablet supplement for a healthy and active pet dog.

My dog doesnt have an appetite HELP!?
Ok so im pretty much getting desperate about this topic. Heres the story. My dog is a very finicky eater. Shes a husky and shes active. She runs, plays, and wrestles with my other dogs. That is why i am confused. She is showing signs of a healthy dog but doesnt eat as much as she should. Shell eat somedays and other days she wont eat. She is somewhat skinny and I am always worried about her eating habits. Iv tried to put her on a feeding schedule where if she doesnt eat her food when i put it down i wait 20 minutes and take it back up until next feeding time. I had to stop doing this though because she got too skinny and i got worried. Shell eat human food and canned food but doesnt really like kibble. I was thinking about a RAW diet but i cant really afford it. I just need to see if theres a way to train her to eat or if theres any kind of supplement out there that will make her increase in weight. Also if anyone knows about any diseases or conditions that might cause a dog to not eat as much. I am just worried because shes already a small dog and when she doesnt eat i feel as though shes not getting enough nutrients.
For all the people that are going to tell me to take her to the vet, dont waste your time because i have already been told she is healthy.

How do you choose the right dog at the shelter or from a dog breeder?
Hi so I went to the shelter today and was looking at different dogs. i was wondering how do you select a dog who is independent but also loving and well natured and mentally stable. I'm wondering about this from both the shelter and from picking a dog from a litter from a dog breeder. (some dogs in the litter seem confident/almost aggressive, other dogs are submissive...which dogs have better personalities when adult?)
So what's the best way to determine this? I found some dogs were very open wagging their tales etc but when I walked away from them they would wimper... could this be a sign of separation anxiety or dogs that cannot be left alone?
Other dogs would cower in the corner, seemed really shy, but still happily wagged their tales... would these be dogs that are calmer and independent? Or would these be antisocial dogs.
What are signs of a healthy dog who has confidence, but isn't too demanding. ie I was thinking some of the more confident dogs could actually be more aggressive and possibly stubborn or harder to train?
I just don't know and don't want to pick the wrong dog based on personality etc.
Any ideas?
