I've had a dry skin allergy, since childhood. Can any one help with the name of it and what can help me?
I have tried so many types of lotions & soaps, yet nothing helps. Many people think I don't shower enough, yada, yada, yada; and the avereage dr. just tells me to use lotions after showers. I've all but given up on remmities and need some information.

Scratching dog issue! Please HELP!?
I have a 2 year old boxer and she started uncontrollable scratching when she was about 9 months old. I have taken her to the vet numerous times and have treated her for dry skin, allergies, and mange. And yet, none of this has worked. She has so many scabs and is losing a lot of her hair from all the scratching! I don't know what else to do! She is literally scratching herself nonstop!
yes, the vet thought mange and we treated her for that but it didn't help at all.

Itchy itchy skin..helpp?
It's around 90-100 degrees daily here in Texas.
Every single day I have these random scratch attacks I guess you can call.. that makes my skin itch.. random places.. and I usually scratch til my skin starts forming little redness and raised bumps.. then I resist to stop scratching else those little bumps might become bruised/scratched and become scarred.. so I stop.. then about 5 minutes of no more scratching my skin goes back to normal and no more bumps or itch... Then hours later it will start again. ):
Any ideas what this is? Anything serious? Dry skin? Allergies?

Can I give my dog allergy medicine?
My golden retriever is 5 months old and has some dry skin/allergy issues. My parents have had golden retrievers before and I know that this is normal for them, but can I give him allergy medicine to relieve some of the itching? He doesn't seem too uncomfortable but I can feel his dry itchy skin on his neck and feel soooo bad for him.

Cause for dog to loose interest in dog food?
He's been very itchy. Weren't sure if it were dry skin, allergy, or what, so I started giving him the fish pills (omega-3) things, a small benedryl daily and we have gradually been changing out his dog food to a much higher quality type. Even before I began the mixing of the two foods to switch him over, he was loosing interest in eating. Not too long ago he was the type of dog that inhaled his food. Would benedryl do this to his appetitie? I'd say maybe it was summer heat, but he's in AC almost all day. He's normal, active and happy as can be, just doesn't want to eat much and scratches a lot. Scratching began well before the changing of food. (Our vet isn't available for a while (long story), so curious if anyone has any ideas on the matter?
