How can I soothe my dogs dry skin?
Hey, since it has started to get cold it seems like my dog's skin has gotten really dry and he scratches a lot (and no, it is not fleas, I have checked). I was wondering if any pet owners had a tips. I have heard about oatmeal baths but I gave him a bath a week ago and I have heard giving too many baths can also dry out his skin. Thanks :D

Does oatmeal & water help relive a dogs dry skin?
Ive been reading that mixing warm water and oatmeal and then rubbing it on the dogs skin helps. We did this about an hour ago and she hasnt touched it since She is a yellow lab. She has red itchy dry skin and her back near her tail in a long thick line and is losing hair because of all the itching.When we brish her a lot of dead dry skin falls off A LOT. We just want to relive the itching and pain for her. Is this really going to help her?
