Why does my dog cough after she drinks?
My Jack russell is 2 and a half years old and healthy. But every time she has a drink from her bowl, she coughs after shes done. We asked our vet and she said that sometimes after a dog eats, they cough because the bowl is too low down and needs to be raised but is this the same with water??

My two dogs cough drops?
k so my bag of cough drops were sitting out and my two dogs, Sandy, (Beagle) and Noodles (Morkie), somehow got into my room..When i came in my room there were a few open cough drops and they were all spread on the floor..im worried it will hurt them. The beagle is fully grown but the morkie is only about 3-4 months..Should i take them to the vet in the morning? btw my dogs had eaten some cough drops

Dog Cough, but not kennel cough.. please help?
My daughter has a small jack russel/collie cross, he's a lovely little fella and about 18 months old. About 6 months ago he developed a cough, we took him to the vet who treated him for kennel cough, this didn't work, 2 weeks later we took him back, he gave him anti biotics and a steroid injection, he didn't cough for 2 days, then the cough returned, and we are talkin 24 hours every 2 mins coughing. back to the vet more anti biotics, and a treatment for grass Allergy.. still coughing, and getting weaker and tired all the time. We have been back to the vet over 12 times and this little lad is still no better. The vet suggested flushing out his lungs, they kept him in for 10 hours and washed out his little lungs and found nothing, all clear so a stronger anti biotic has been given and steroid injection and he still remains the same. Visit to the vets today revealed they don't have a clue whats wrong and have said we may have to consider putting him to sleep. I have a 4 year old granddaughter and a 3 year old grandson who adore this little dog, please please if anyone can help diagnose what could be wrong i would be forever grateful

Dog coughing but only in the morning?
i am quite experienced having owned boxers for 15years. But my 10 month old boxer boy is a strange case wondered if anyone had experienced anything similar! The last 10 days he has yoko up coughing he will cough for 5 to 10 mins then fine. It sounds like kennel cough but not typical to just be in tho morning. His pedigree is free from genetic heart conditions and heart scored parents and grand parents so unlikely to be boy heart problem doesnt pull on the lead. Been to vets was a little stressed but said heart sounded fine. Had mild throat sensitivity so on 5 days of antibiotics however noone sure what could be wrong. Any one had a similar experience what was the out come?

Why does my dog cough every time we play with her?
She like gagges and coughs, always twice in a row, whenever we play with her with her toys. And she does this several times throughout. Why does she cough so much? (It's like the same kind of cough when you pull on their leash really hard and they're choking.)
