Blood & Dogs Stool/Pee?
Okay, please if all your going to say is "take your dog to the vet asap" do not comment. I am looking to find out what (in your opinion) could possibly be wrong with my dog. I do plan on taking her to the vet of course but I'd like to know what the possibilities are of what she may have.
My dog 3 days ago had her first accident that she's ever had in the past 2 years or so. I thought this was odd but I thought maybe I just didn't wake up when she tried to wake me up to walk her. Then, the following day she had another accident, but this time it was diarrhea not solid stool. Happened again during the night. This morning she had it again (twice within about a 2 hour span) but the last time she went there was drips of blood at the beginning of the "trail", no blood in the actually stool/diarrhea though, just drips of it like when she first started going potty. Then, I put her in the bathroom (because it's tile & easy to clean) and I went back in there and it was like watery blood. I tried to look at her to see if it was coming from pee or from her bottom, but I couldn't tell.
She had parasites as a pup but you could see the eggs in the stool. There is nothing in her stool/diarrhea just normal. However, it is pretty "green" but this could be from her food - it's the veggies type.
Now note that I did switch her food over the weekend (Sunday to be exact) and this started happening on Monday/Tuesday (I don't think it's related but maybe it could be)?
Help!
She is a 2 year old Australian Shepherd mix, female.
No nobody told me how to "switch the food" I bought it at Wal-Mart. And it has vegetables in it - it's not straight up veggie dog food - I doubt they would make dog food like that. Obviously it's going to have meat in it.
She is acting perfectly fine other than the diarrhea. She is up to date on all of her shots and the heartworm medicine she takes is the plus kind that protects against like 3 different kinds of parasites.
